Batten Down The Hatches

Our days seem to have reverted back to Summer temperatures, warm and breezy.
Later this evening thunderstorms are to move in, not my favorite type of weather, especially when tornadoes are in the prediction.

Walking about the garden tidying up any potential objects that may become hazardous in 60 mph winds, I noticed the Clematis vine is once again in bloom, the third time this year !
Such a gentle, giving vine, sharing her beauty for one last smile.

Candle lit and fingers crossed that the weather warnings will not come to full fruition...We have been so blessed of late in temperate
Autumn clime. Your clematis is so lovely and generous. Batten down!

Very Pretty flower! It has been gloomy all week, with the exception of yesterday. ( sunshine all day!) Cooler here in Iowa. My Cardinal Creeper is fully out now and I'm scared we will get another cold snap like a previous year that will kill it before it can go to seed. The hummingbirds have been gone for over two weeks now. Not even hornets visit the feeders or flowers. But the flowers are still out!

Warm temperatures are great. Hope the thunderstorms don't do any damage though to your gorgeous garden

Beautiful bloom! Hope you don't get bad storms. We are having much the same weeather. A chance of thunderstorms this afternoon before a cold front comes through.

The winds have also been strong here. I don't like to be in it when it is so strong. Our air is very cold today. Your flowers are so wonderful. They really like your climate. Mine did not do well with the drought.

Your clematis is gorgeous! I hope the weather wasn't too severe. We had some downpours during the night but today the sun is shining. You have a super day, hugs, Edna B.

A beautiful clematis, what a wonderful colour it is.

All the best Jan

Definitely not what we're experiencing in Michigan! Chilly temps and no clematis.

We battened down the hatches, but luckily we were bypassed by the worst of it. Beautiful late flower.

Your clematis is always so great to see. The drought for us kept our flowers subdued. I have missed commenting for some time and I am glad I did get caught up. I have been lame in one leg and my wife has had an injury too. We are better.
