And Then There Were Three

The deer have been giving birth to new fawns. Sprightly little things, all bouncy and curious.
One doe has a single fawn, another has twins, and this moma has triplets !
We have to erect cages around any plants or bushes we care about, otherwise the deer chew them, even if it's not something they like, they nibble away.
The population is growing......

They are sooo beautiful. It's sweet you offer them a nice water source. I went to weed my garden the other day and I noticed all my roses, approximately 3 dozen were chewed off (in full glorious bloom!), as well as all my balloon flowers. So disappointed as in Michigan, I look forward to my lovely flowers. But I do love the deer.

What good fortune to have such beautiful visitors to your "protected"
garden. Are they not the most graceful creatures?

The three is amazing to see. I know that it is a struggle to keep the plants that you like. I see people having to fence in around their dwarf fruit trees as they love the leaves.

It's a wonderful sight for sure. I saw one in the field the other morning when out walking with Timmy. I didn't see it for long though as it ran off like a rocket.
