Our day is dark and rain-filled, the looming remnants of Hurricane Delta .
It's hard to imagine the destruction a fierce storm unleashes on the coastline, when inland, it's remains fall softly to the parched ground, a welcomed sign of relief.
The house-painters worked on the outside of our home yesterday, not the best timing with a hurricane looming in the Gulf, but we've been on the waiting list for quite some time now.
Beggars can't be choosers.

Our rain came earlier in the day here; seems to have slowed a bit now. Love your picture inside looking outside!
I also love that picture. We had rain all night long, but it stopped just in time for my Saturday morning walk! :-)
What a peaceful photo. A lovely place to contemplate on a rainy day. Hugs.
Jo, I wish that some of the rains could spread out ...to the west coast. Hoping the house painters can get the job done without a rain out. I love seeing out the window with the lace curtains. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
A lovely view and window. It's nice to be inside and cozy on a rainy day.
Love window pics!
What a lovely decoration. I hope your painters can get the job done soon. We had a wind storm (almost hurricane gales) go through this area a few nights ago. It caused all sorts of damage and power losses in the nearby towns and cities, but not my town. For some reason, we just got some (lighter) winds and a few raindrops. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
We too are having rain falling softly here. I'm grateful it didn't come with all the destruction that it wreaked down south of here.
Hello dear Jo, fall reminds me of you. We need some of that rain. It all missed us.
We have had a steady rain since early yesterday mornong. I love your table by the window and the warm glow from the lamp. It's so beautiful.
We had rain here in Memphis but not as much as I expected and no storms.
What a lovely lamp!
