A Cozy Tale

I have always been amazed by the wonderful friends we meet through this world called blogging.
Words of encouragement, sympathy, and an overall feeling of camaraderie.
The sort of people I would enjoy sitting down and sharing a pot of tea and a scone with.

A sweet fellow blogger  writes a delightful blog about all things tea, and in particular English tea and customs. https://bernideensteatimeblog.blogspot.com/
Bernideen owned her own tea room in Colorado Springs, Colorado, a town co-incidentally, I lived in for several years, but wasn't aware of her delight.
Recently,  Bernideen has moved to be closer to family in Missouri, and has recreated her tea room in her home, and stunning garden.

Her talents do not stop there she is also a talented crafter.
She designs and sews amazingly beautiful tea-cozies.
If you are a regular reader of my little blog, you are probably aware that I recently lost my handsome Oliver cat to Bobcat fever, a terrible disease with little or no cure.
Bernideen contacted me and asked if she could send me a gift, in remembrance of Oliver, and Saturday it arrived.

The sweetest little tea-cozy created with kitties on the fabric, front and center is the image of a orange and white kitty, just like my Oliver.
The cozy can be reversed, the opposite side, is fabric covered in the Union Jack flag of England.
It's perfect, as pretty as I could have imagined, THAT kindness just made my day.

Thank you dear Bernideen, I will forever treasure your beautiful gift.

Oh my, your tea cozy is beautiful. What a wonderful Bernideen is, and so very talented. Your Oliver was such a beautiful kitty. I think the most important thing I've learned from Blogland is that there are so many wonderful folks here and I'm so grateful to have become part of the family. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

Beautiful story, beautiful cozy and beautiful Oliver.
I had a beautiful cat looked just like Oliver. His name was Shocks. Still miss his loving nature.
How nice to have caring friends.

Bernideen seems to have the gift of spreading joy, so needed these days. That tea cozy is so thoughtful and
kind. Jo, I often marveled at the things we have in common and now hear that you once resided in Colorado Springs, whereas we once resided in Cherry Hills and now we share the beauty of TN, "the land of the gentle folk" I hope the loss of Oliver has eased somewhat and that the tea cozy will be cause for a knowing smile.

It is a wonderful cozy. I spotted Oliver instantly on the cozy before I did the reading. It all makes me smile with the blogger friend thing.

You must miss him so much. I miss seing his photos so thank you for this one. He reminds me so much of my lovely ginger & white young chap Thomas who sadly was run over nearly thirty years ago. I still miss him.

What a lovely present so thought ful of her. I've never needed a tea cosy as I don't drink tea. What an admission for an English person to make! I wish I liked it as although I like a decent coffee it isn't refeshing. My Mam always had a pot of tea on the go, the kettle was permanently on the hob at home.

Take care Jo.
