Summer's Bounty

Enjoying a taste of the last Summer strawberries.
I'm freezing the remainder, to indulge in, on a cold Winter's day.
Topped with a dollop of clotted cream, or maybe use them to make a  lovely batch of strawberry scones.
Accompanied by a nice pot of tea.
*grin*

Jo, Don't forget to get a picture to post this winter when you have that great pot of tea and some nice strawberry scones. We will all be envious. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

What's awesome is that whether you throw them into the blender with some yogurt and honey and make a smoothie right now, or freeze them and eat them later, you've already "preserved" them perfectly in this photo, for enjoyment as long and as often as you / we like!

Strawberries are almost too pretty to eat. This summer, when I come in hot after working outside, I enjoy a cup of partially thawed frozen strawberries with a little sugar sprinkled over the top. Sure cools you off quick, and they're delicious!
