Late Sunday evening, I tempted Oliver with his favorite food Chicken Florentine, and lo and behold he decided to eat a little.
Each day he has slowly eaten small amounts, nothing huge, but at least it shows he is interested and is gaining strength.
Thank you for all of the suggestions in tempting him to partake, they are truly appreciated.

It is a wonderful thing to think he will survive this. He's beloved by so many of his fans. I'm proud to be one of them.
That is very good news, Jo.
Jo, Oh I could jest squeeze you. I know you are excited about Oliver eating again. Me too. I hope and pray he will start to gain some strength from even eating a little. It's start. Pet him for me. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Iam so happy about his recovery!!
I wish him all the best!Say a little prayer for him :)
Wish you all god!
Such good news.
Prayers answered! I'm so happy for you & Oliver, Jo! I was going to say.... what we "cat rescuers" use, to tempt a cat to go into a humane trap, is Kentucky Fried Chicken. Works like a charm... every. single. time! :-) We have made many a run, in all kinds of weather when our little Mistletoe was still alive, for the chicken to try & tempt him to eat. May blessings continue, Andrea xoxo
So pleased to hear Oliver is recovering bless him I've just been catching up with blogs.
It's awful when they are sick poor little things you feel so helpless. I'll keep you both in my prayers I bet you haven't slept or eaten well either JO. Take care.
So happy to hear! I'm praying for all of it, eatting, pooping and peeing! Never thought I'd write that!! Denise

I'm so happy for you and Oliver.
Bless his heart! Eating is a good sign. Let's pray he continues eating and getting better.
YEAH! Cheryl says it helps to get the strongest smelling food to tempt them. Sometimes she even had to heat it up to to enhance the smell. Glad Oliver is getting better.
Much love and continued prayers.
I am so happy for you. I know what a joy it must be to see his steady progress :)
Our cat was saved by tuna in oil.
