The household is full of sickness, head colds, coughing and spluttering. I've spent long days in bed, with Vicks as my companion.
Our state has been deluged with more than it's share of heavy rain and flooding, leading to soggy grounds and mold, which contributes to upper respiratory problems.
Homemade chicken soup is the order of the day, and lots of hot lemon tea.
Stay well friends.

Stay inside, drink tea and eat cookies, to pass your time. I hope you get better soon.
Get well soon!!
Lots of flu here too. Kids are sent home at the first sign of a cough or sniff.
So sorry to hear you are under the weather, but that embroidery is beautiful!
Warm hugs to you Jo. I hope you are well soon. I have been washing my hands, wiping doorknobs, light switches, everything, and wearing masks when out. Got to stay well. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Be well soon, Jo. I am 5 weeks getting over a chest thingy. :-( Do what you can to boost the immune system. I started taking Deep Immune. Hugs to all.
Hope you feel better and are soon up and around. I think you are right to stay home and keep warm. Phil
Ug! We just finally got over it last week and STILL have the annoying cough. ( Though, not as bad as before.) Chicken soup is the key to beaing it. Lots of Chicken soup and Ginger ale... Though, Cheryl likes her tea as well.
Oh Jo! I hope you feel well soon. Sending you a big hug!

Chicken soup cures everything, doesn't it? :-)
So sorry you aren't feeling well. I certainly know what that is! Hope you feel better soon. Bed is the best place to be.
Antidote around here is prevention with daily dose of elderberry syrup..so far, so good. Hope you are back to feeling yourself in no time, Jo. Take this time to pamper yourself with comfort soup and teas...and much rest....
I'm all for a few days of tea and toast and a good book by the fire! Be good to yourself and let your body heal...
Oh my - I hope you all get well soon!
Oh my, Vicks makes a great companion for a cold. When I was young I would come down with at least one really bad cold every winter, with a cough and congestion. It was always worst at night so my Mother would take a big hankerchief spread vicks on one side of it then lay it over the top of a lamp shade so the heat from the light bulb would warm it up and then wrap it around my throat. I can remember how wonderful it felt and I loved the smell and it immediately made me feel very "well taken care of".
Get better soon. Spring is just around the corner, sunshine and flowers ready to pop up just about any day now. We can only hope!
Soup is definitely the way to go. I hope you are feeling better really soon, hugs, Edna B.
