Rebirth

A gentle rain has fallen for much of the morning, but not to be discouraged,  my plans of cleaning around the pond stayed on track.
It always amazes me that despite the freezing water,  soon after Spring arrives, the sound of croaking, once again returns.

Cold, wet leaves
Floating on moss-colored water
And the croaking of frogs -
Cracked bell-notes in the twilight.

Ohh, nice! I love it all, and the gentle rain is not quite what we had this morning on my walk, but instead incessant rain with wind. I'll trade you. :-)

Everything looks so healthy. I was outside this evening, listening to the frog choir. It's one of my favorite things about Spring. Thanks for the post! Phil/MN

The frog fountain is back. That is such a stringing blue almost purple color. We had a gentle rain but it just didn’t last very long. With all the snow that we had, we still need rain.
