Two days of continuous rainfall, water standing ankle-deep, I'm beginning to think a pair of webbed-feet would be fitting.
Temperatures are unseasonably warm, and will remain so throughout the week.
There are shoots popping out of the ground everywhere, which is a little discerning, since we are still in the depths of winter, and snow is still a possibility.
I think Mother Nature has a wicked sense of humor.
Row, row, row your boat......

Jo, I am astounded by all the new growth on your plants there. We got some icing last night but it's to be in the high 30's so maybe it will all melt. Keep your wellies handy. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
What beautiful pictures, Jo! You know, the Celtics thought that spring in your area arrived somewhere around February 1st. Yes, snow is still a possibility but spring was still taking hold. So perhaps your sprouts and greenery are right on time. :-) Lovingly, Andrea (from my new "home" on Blogger) xoxo
It is a worry when plants pop up too soon but maybe they know of what they speak. Perhaps spring is coming soon to you. We still need the snow for our pastures up here in Illinois so I don't mind keeping it up here, as long as you keep posting photos of your buds. Last night more ice. I think my iris's are still sound asleep.
It is the same way here. It worries me too to see the little green shoots coming through the ground, and next week it may turn freezing cold again. Everything in your yard is so pretty.
Your garden looks like ours might in early May!
I'm missing the snow this year, but your pictures have me looking forward to spring!
I love your yard. I hope these pretty green buds will be ok. Hugs, lj
Wonderful images on your site!
Wow, that's a lot of growth! Eeek! We still have snow all over the place up here in New Hampshire but it's supposed to get up into the high 50's and 60's early next week! This happened last spring as well and it kind of stunted a lot of my plants for the rest of the season... sigh! I think Mother Nature has gotten a smidge confused lately. Hugs for now from still brrrr (11 degrees right now) New Hampshire...
Nothing like that here in Missouri
we are still having temperatures in teens
Today its warmed up however cold for our weekend again
Nothing popping up here on the Jersey shore yet. Temps are up, down over and over though.
I think the toad house is darling! I always love your photos.
Oh look at you, you have SPRING. We have snow. I can't see the ground yet. I am living vicariously through your blog. I just can not wait. Roll it on. PLEASE.
Enjoy
Janice
You have sedum and iris up already. My snow may melt away today and I might see some growth on the iris. It is nice to see your green.
