Summertime

In just a few short weeks the children return to school.
I remember when my daughter was young, summer break used to span from May until August, but no longer are the school systems on that schedule.
Now their summer holidays run for six weeks, and parents are busily gathering up school supplies and doing their uniform shopping,  franticly ticking off those lists.
Here we are in the midst of summertime, yet the rhythm of life moves along.

I'm sure 6 weeks is enough for the children. Here it is from mid June to mid September. Seems far too long but the weather is too hot during those months. Kids can't concentrate.
Poor parents. They don't get any rest ...till school reopens!

Don't bother with the kettle unless you have some biscuits. Good post.

I liked seeing all of your photos. The tea pot is wonderful and the gate sign is classy, You still look a lot greener than we do. Have a great day.

Summer comes and goes by so quickly once you grow up!
In New Jersey kids are out in mid-June and go back after Labor Day in September.

I swear today I got a whiff of fall in the air, which made me sad-happy. I love the fall but not near ready to say goodbye to summer. I'm still planting seeds in the garden! Love your sink attached to a building with all the flowers. Think I'll get hubby to do that trick for me.

That rose is beautiful, I love the subtle color! Do you know the name of it? I want to try one. If you can grow it in Tennessee, I probably can here in Kentucky.

Barbee', I'm afraid I can't remember the name of the rose. It's a David Austin climbing rose, but sadly I've forgotten the name.
