Spring Cleaning

The first grass-cutting of the season, just in time before rain and thunderstorms move into our area later today.

Beatrix Potter gets a new hairdo.

Several days ago I hung the summer wreath in place, after adding a variety of new flowers.

Mrs.. Robin came along, and has decided it is a fittin' place to raise her babies inside, and  lost no time in building a new nest.

I shall have to be a dutiful hostess and careful not burn the porch lights after dark.

I so love your pics! And did a Robin really build her nest in your wreath? That's so perfect!

Ooh yes Rian she has...
Not quite finished with it yet, from the angle I took the pic it looks a little flat, but I was scared to get closer and run her away if she hasn't finished with her masterpiece :)
It's happened twice before, so not new to this happening.
Neat eh !

Oh what a sweet little nest. You must show me the eggs if you can. I love it! :-)

You've inspired me Brit, may I call you Brit? to get my outdoor act in gear. I get so busy feeding our critters (cows, steers, and now pigs) that I forget it's time to make things pretty again. Thanks for the kick in the arse I needed.

Honestly, I didn't think your place could get any more beautiful, but it has. That is the most gorgeous wreath ever! Mrs. Robin was so lucky to spot it first. How jealous the other birds must be. I have simply got to start mowing. There are so many weeds that have little blooms, I just hate to mow them down.
