Slowly Changing

The days are noticeably shorter, morning mists linger.
The leaves are beginning their annual show of colors, slowly turning from greens to brilliant reds, yellows and oranges.
Sweaters and trousers will soon replace flip-flops and shorts,
And heavy blankets return to the foot of our beds.
The nesting season is upon us.

Beautiful sentiments. We do are "nesting" bringing the wood closer to our grain bin house, shoring up chicken coops, making BIG stacks of books available for the cold winter. So glad I found your blog. Great photos!

I like to think of it as the season for hair with less frizz and less hot flashes! Not as poetic as your post, but priorities!

That photo is absolutely lovely. Makes me want to be there. Our trees are looking somewhat like yours -- mostly green with a few beginning to turn.

I am getting the big heavy comforter ready for use now.. chillier nights have replaced the summer days.
Lovely photo as always.
