Rain Dancing
No rain in over a month now, the ground is parched and cracked.
Normally this time of the year, we are having a peak show of color, when the trees magical transform from summer greens to their brilliant fall palette, but signs of brown, dead leaves are all around.
I've noticed the deer have been venturing closer to the house, they hear the splutter of the pond pump, and it must sound mighty inviting right about now.

Oh I love it ! The Deer fountain :)
Love that picture of the deer taking a quick drink! :-)
Oh wow, the deer drinking is amazing. We seem to be having rain on and off constantly xx
We had a long dry spell but finally we are getting a bit of rain. Love that picture of the deer. Poor things.
Same here Jo. 91 degrees today. The deer are eating the lily pads in my goldfish pond. I'm ready for some fall weather.
It has gotten hot again here, the rain we got dried up fast.
I miss seeing dears roaming, great photo.
That is one cheeky deer you have there! And your harvest moon pic in your last post was fabulous. Central Il has been blessed with just the right amt of rain this summer and our fall colors are the best they have been in years. I'm sorry. Please don't hold it against me.
Yes they really are thirsty. I bet they are having a hard time finding water to drink.
oh my goodness...thirsty deer there! I'm sure that tasted SO good!
And I'm about to do a blog post about all the wet ground in the donkey yard!
Such cute photos!!! Hope it rains!
What a sweet picture. It's good the birds can share a bit of water for this deer.
