Pieces Of The Past

What a fantastic building, but quite sad that it's been abandoned and neglected. It must have been a happy, lively home once - but may be one day it will be again if someone with vision rescues it.
Long time reader, first time comment... Yes, I see the beauty in this old house. It seems so poignant, longing for the family that once resided under its' roof.
These houses were built for the climate. The floor to ceiling windows would allow them to cool the house off at night along as there was a breeze. It is a very old house.We have just a few like this in town.

Don't you wonder about the history in that old house? I do. Once upon a time people were living their lives in that place. I wonder... :-)

I too love old houses. This one is very close to the road. I wonder if there was no road there at all, once upon a time.
I tend to make up stories for myself about old houses. In this one, I see a happy house until the road came along.

The road running in front of the house is a major pike and was once a dirt road for stagecoach and horse and buggy travel.
