We had our first hard freeze of the season a few nights earlier, and so any flowers still in bloom, had now died.
It's always a sad time viewing the empty window boxes, and flower pots, which were so full of color, a few days earlier.
The Morning Glory vines were still full of blooms, but sadly their lives were cut short.
How they made me smile each day.

I would surely miss the Morning Glories, too. Such beautiful flowers. And what fun to have two fabulous felines to close up the garden with today.

Yes it's sad when mother nature turns are beautiful blooms into shriveled brown plants on'y fit for the compost heap. I hope you managed to have kept some plants away from the frost, to bloom again next year. So far our frosty nights haven't yet arrived .Enjoy your weekend.
I agree, so sad to see the summer flowers have died especially those lovely Morning Glories. But now we have the lovely berries and evergreens to brighten our gardens until the spring.

We have not yet had our first frost, exceptionally mild autumn this year. Such a shame of the beautiful Morning Glories, one of my favourite flowers.

I'm a Tennessee Native living in Texas and just found your blog. I've added it to my favorites. I'm very homesick and we are trying to get back home (TN or KY). I LOVE your garden shots and also love the smell of wet leaves in TN/KY autumn...also LOVE the blue morning glories! Keep up the great work.
