We have had more than our share of rain in this ' Fair Month of May '.
Fields stood ankle-deep in water, farmers delayed their planting.
Half-way through the month, we had a late frost, not the best conditions for tender young plants to make their appearance, but despite it all, appear they did.
The days have warmed and watering cans are once again being lugged around the garden.
And as if by magic, Winter browns have turned into Summer rainbows.
The cycle continues.

Jo, it looks so beautiful - all my favorite flowers. We had the same weather here but I guess I am glad because it isn't so hot yet. I've started keeping notes about the weather and conditions to see how the plants are reacting. Just hope I can find my notes next year.
Britty, Britty very pretty . . . How does your garden grow?
Fabulously I would say :)
These photos are breath-taking,
thank you for sharing.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
You get the most marvelous color intensity in your flowers there! You have to be doing something right and spending some quality time tending them. Yes, I think summer might just be here for Tennesseans.
Beautiful, beautiful gardens! Oh, yes! The temperatures have definitely warmed, and now it is way too much like mid-summer for my liking.:-)
Gorgeous flowers Jo.. your weather sounds much the same as here, It's been a really odd Spring. Now there are reports that it could also have been the coldest for 50 years. I wouldn't disagree!
Your photos are beautiful, Jo. I love the little yellow pot. The statue is beautiful that adorns your garden. I am thinking it might be St.Francis of Assisi. Deb
Jo, I love all of your beautiful flowers. Your gardens are so inviting. xoxo,Susie
We are the same here with the weather and flowers blooming all though it is humid now I still love this time of year and all that is new ! Wonderful post and photos ! Thanks for sharing ! Have a good day !
It's so very pretty, Jo.
That is beautiful. I didn't know a place could actually be so green until I had the opportunity to visit it myself. I used to know an accident attorney in Tennessee I was able to visit, but it has been a could years since I have seen him.
A lovely stroll.
Feeling and absolutely loving the lushness.
Wonderful flowers !!! Your weather sounds a lot like the weather in The Netherlands. They have finally predicted some warmer weather this coming week, so here's keeping my fingers crossed ; )
Have a great day.
