Sadly, Britain has lost yet another of it's well-loved actors Friday evening.
Geoffrey Hughes, 68 years old passed away at his home after losing a two year battle with Prostate Cancer.
He was well known and much loved for his portrayal of slobbish Onslow in Keeping Up Appearances, and Twiggy in the Royle Family. He also played Eddie Yeats in Coronation Street.

Onslow is one of my favorite characters. It is sad to loose him.
I'd read about his illness recently. As much as this news saddens me, I'm glad for his sake, that his struggles are over. He seemed such a humble and kind man... a rare quality in his craft. RIP Geoffrey.
Aww, that's so sad. We were watching Keeping Up Appearances just last night.

my favourite, him and Jim Royale stripping wallpaper to Mambo Number five in the Royale Family, priceless
I was unaware that 'Onslow' had passed away. I always enjoy watching PBS on Saturday evenings to see the 'Brit Comedies'.
