Fluffing And Cutting

Everything around the garden is budding recklessly, trees, shrubs, and plants alike. Despite the turn to cooler weather at night, the days warm to a pleasant sixty or seventy degrees, and the growing cycle continues.

Of course, this also means the grass is growing. The First Sergeant has mowed twice already, and is thankful for a riding lawn mower . Such is the life of the privileged {wink}

Ah yes, growing season. Our grass is still about a week away from cutting season and we are still waiting for the warmer weather.

Today is gorgeous! Believe we have earned it! Weeds are taking over here already, we (meaning he) need to get busy. I spent some time out in the yard and the wind was cool, but the sunshine made it worth it! I should have done some real work, but today is my lazy day and I just want to enjoy it! I hope you are too!

Not here! Not yet! The most we've done is to "roll" the yard in an attempt to level the aggravating mole tunnels & try to identify the active ones! In less than 24 hours, we were dismayed to discover at least 2!

Just down the road from you our tulips are out today! We are promised a hot day tomorrow and after all the cold weather, rain and winds, I'm actually looking forward to it.
Your push mower is for the edges, I presume? Is that your job? (wink)

We have so much rain and cold the Bennie is wanting some dry ground so he can get out his new riding mower.

What a relic, the old push mower. Thankfully for modern technologies.

The wild growth continues here but we've not had to mow yet. The cold nights are still with us, too.

Love the push mower! We have one and her name is Ginny.

Hugs!

The mowing began for us a couple of weeks ago. The good thing for us is that it's no longer up to us to do it. I love the old push mower. If they were sharp, they worked really well. Must be a lesson there!

A riding lawnmower is so wonderful for a large lawn...when I was a kid my Dad mowed our lawn in Tidewater with a push lawnmower like the one in your photo!

I love Spring, I love my riding mower, and I recognize that thing in the last Photo. I used to wrestle with one of those when I was a young lad.

I see that old reel lawn mower and have to tell you this: I just bought a reel mower last summer for up at our cabin and I LOVE it!! It's soooo smooth and easy to use. The grass can't be too high though or it won't work. I really enjoyed using it. Looking forward to the good exercise it provieds too...once the snow melts in farrr North Idaho!!hehe.
