Lovely photo, Jo. We're still in a deep freeze here and under a lovely blanket of snow. I hope you are enjoying a peaceful post-holiday rest. I wish you the best of everything this new year can bring, Jo. I've so enjoyed my visits to your blog, thank you for visiting mine. :) Lizzy x
Well--when I saw your title, I thought you were going to say that you all have some snow this morning. We DO... It's that cold, blowing snow that doesn't stick to anything much--but the ground is covered (sorta). PRETTY!!!! This is indeed Mother Nature's Blanket.
I once went on a survival in the winter overnight and we built an igloo, which I slept in that night. It was very warm, like a blanket, but I was happy to get out of it in the morning!
Your photos, verses, and music enthralled me when I happened to discover you today,,,thank you for being here to bring delight to my January Sunday afternoon. Gayle

I really like the description of blanket with the snow. It does shine and sparkle and makes an all new landscape with it's softness. Great photo.
We got a fresh 'blanket' over night! :)
There really is nothing quite like the silence of snow covered woods, personally I love snow anytime.
Snow can be so beautiful,I like calling it a blanket.

Love the photo and the poem.
I should get my camera out and get some photos as we don't get as much snow these days. Problem is I'm hibernating!
I love the look of snow just hate driving in it. They don't seem to grit the roads as much nowadays.
Enjoyed stopping by your blog. You really do a nice job with it.
I really like the chair you found in that antique shop. If I had seen that I would have been tempted to buy it!
Take care and enjoy life in God's country. I remember driving through the Smokey Mountains many years ago on my way to Florida.
