Heiress Presumptive.

On February 2, 1952 Elizabeth Alexandra Mary ( Elizabeth ll ) became the Queen of the United Kingdom, upon the death of her father.
She was twenty five years old.
Throughout her reign, her connection with America, and it's presidents has always been a personable one.
She will soon be approaching her 58th year in public office.
Long live the Queen......

a very nice blog to honor the Queen. I was two years old when she became Queen but she has been a person that we all have followed. It was nice to see all the pictures of her throughout history. Thanks for sharing.

What a wonderful tribute and lesson in history. I remember seeing the Queen when I was a child in England, it was quite thrilling.
Long live the Queen.

We've never been too wild about the Royal Family in general actually, but I have to say, as i get older I appreciate the Queen more and more, especially compared to her younger Royals, particularly Will and Harry.

She once used to be Queen of Malta too and many of the older generation still love her.

Love all of the pictures ,but I think the one of that bad boy Bill Clinton is the best one just look at that face of his. What was he thinking? ( look at me now)

I do so love the Queen. I'd rather meet her than anyone else on the planet.

I was lucky enough to attend a Royal garden party at Holyroodhouse Palace once and saw the Queen and Phil the Greek. I was probably about 25 feet away from her. She looks very normal and she is not tall either. I felt very privileged. I like the Royal family and could care less what some of the anti-royals say about them living off taxpayers money. Where I grew up, there plenty of people living off taxpayers money.

By the way, I think Bill Clinton is smiling because he slipped her his room key.

What wonderful pictures of her over the years! And those hats are priceless. I notice that she has a few pictures without them and she looks a little, well, incomplete.

This is a wonderful tribute to the Queen. One of the first television shows that I remember seeing was of her coronation. I think the film was flown from London to New York so it could be broadcast here in the U. S.

I love these pictures,i have a great regard for the royal family and their "Britishness" if only England was as great as it used to be,we might still be there. There is not much about England that i miss any more ,sadly.
Thank you for visiting my blog, now i have some followers i will make more effort to write about life at the castle.

Really like this post about the Queen with the United States Presidents.
I wonder if she will live even a longer life on earth as her mother did?
The Queen looks well,
