Peace On Earth, Goodwill Toward Men

We truly wish each and every one of you, friends and family, near and far, all the blessings of a Joyous and Merry Christmas.

May you have the gladness of Christmas which is hope;
The spirit of Christmas which is peace;
The heart of Christmas which is love."

~Ada V. Hendicks

When Christmas bells are swinging above the fields of snow,
We hear sweet voices ringing from lands of long ago,
And etched on vacant places
Are half-forgotten faces
Of friends we used to cherish,
And loves we used to know.

~ Ella Wheeler Wilcox

I wish you a very Merry Christmas, too. The poem by Ella W. Wilcox just got me.... I am alone for the first time in my life on Christmas this year. Flu has my daughter quarantened and the rest of the family lives too far away... so it's a quiet time for me and one of reflection.

We went to Christmas Eve service at two in the afternoon. I can't do night driving. The church is big and dark inside so it was a beautiful candlelight service. We met friends and were will so many people there and it was a good way to start out our Christmas. No family this year but quality phone calls from the kids make it a special day.
