These first few days of Autumn, a little decorating, a little gardening, a little relaxing
Nights are drawing in fast, dark before the clock strikes seven now.
Our days are still seasonally warm in these southern United States, giving the opportunity to finish those end of summer chores, before Old Man Winter sets in.
Leaves are beginning to gather, hummingbirds are making their way deeper South, the rhythm of life is noticeably slowing.
The smell of wood-smoke fills the night air.

Beautiful sunset!
The summer days are over here in Greece. It's a lovely time of the year. A season to slowly work towards winter. We are ordering wood and sweeping a lot of leaves from grapevines over the terrace and bougainvillia leaves.
Hasn't really happened here yet, Jo... a little cooler in the early morning, but still hot by afternoon. It's October and expect it to cool off soon (I hope).
I felt this…our Autumn is gently passing, but we are still having warmer days and cooler nights. The weatherman whispered frost is coming…I hope Autumn lingers on…
The photos are lovely. I like the autumnal decorations in the first one with the white pumpkin, jack-o-lantern tea kettle, and framed picture of the house. The deer is gorgeous, as is the sunset.
Autumn is in the air. Jon
I meant to say tea pot, not kettle. I think there's a difference. *smile*
Jon 🙂
I just love this time of year. It’s perfect weather to do some outdoor chores before cold weather sets in for winter.
Amazing sky in your last photograph.
All the best Jan
