Autumn Is Calling

Despite sultry August days, subtle signs of changing seasons are all around.

Summer days are noticeably shorter. There is a cooler rush to the evening air.
Down on  main street the shopkeepers are displaying their Autumn wares, and the feel of changing seasons is afoot.
The Summer's Gold Lantana blooms heartily,  as if it knows Summer's loveliest smile, is fleeting.

The weather is still pretty warm here. Think we got to 100 F yesterday. But the mornings are cooler... been in the 70's... enjoying that. ; )

It’s still warm here too, but the first leaves are already falling, so yes, there are definite signs of Fall coming.

Your statue and flowers make a great setting with that perfect wall. It is a special place for sure. I am surprised the deer don't eat those yellow flowers.

What a lovely reflection on the subtle shift from summer to autumn. I enjoyed how you captured those small signs, the cooler evenings, the shorter days, and the seasonal displays, that remind us of the gentle rhythms of life. The imagery of the Lantana blooming as if aware of summer’s fleeting smile is particularly beautiful. Thank you for sharing this moment of seasonal grace. I’d be glad if you also take a moment to read some of my latest posts.
