“It was one of those sumptuous days when the world is full of autumn muskiness and tangy, crisp perfection: vivid blue sky, deep green fields, leaves in a thousand luminous hues. It is a truly astounding sight when every tree in a landscape becomes individual, when each winding back highway and plump hillside is suddenly and infinitely splashed with every sharp shade that nature can bestow - flaming scarlet, lustrous gold, throbbing vermilion, fiery orange.”~ Bill Bryson

What a great description. Bill Bryson has a wonderful way with words.
Enjoy your autumn
Such a pretty area you live in, I need to get out and take more pictures before Autumn fades away.
I love the musky smell (scent) of autumn leaves. The foliage is slow in turning colors here in my area of TN, and recent winds are forcing the trees to shed prematurely. The temperature is delightfully cool.
Ah Autumn, and its triggering of the senses. Our trees have
been slow to turn and we may be raking up green. Just love
your photo and Bryson quote this week.
