Hello September

" September days have the warmth of summer in their briefer hours,
But in their lengthening evenings a prophetic breath of autumn.
The cricket chirps in the noontide, making the most of what remains of his brief life.
The bumblebee is busy among the clover blossoms of the aftermath,
And their shrill and dreamy hum hold the outdoor world above the voices of the song birds,
Now silent or departed."-
September Days : Rowland E. Robinson, Vermont

Beautiful thoughts from Rowland Robinson - farmer, artist, author, Vermont native (I admittedly looked him up on Google). Summer has vanished quickly while I spent two months in a hospital bed. Hopefully I can get home and savor Autumn....

Almost overnight the temperatures cooled and welcomed-Autumn is upon us.
It does, indeed, call for the kettle to be on. Hope Jon will be home soon and snuggled in his own bed. May all enjoy a relaxing holiday weekend.

I really like your arrangement of table and chairs. I threw away some tables in my past that I wish I had back. The weathered ones are the best. I guess I will take September as it comes. Fall is coming for sure.
