Madness and Mayhem

Our little town was deluged with rain for twenty four hours, seven inches of the stuff, causing the town creek to once again overflow it's banks and flood the town.
It was a night of madness and mayhem, rain, tornado warnings, hail, wind and sleeplessness.
Sadly, it seems to be getting worse each spring.

*Thank you for your concerns, we are safe.

So happy to hear you are safe, Jo. I have never witnessed
uninterrupted, pulsating lightning like that...lasted hours.
The picture of your town seems to say it all. God be with all those trying to recover.

Oh my, I do hope all that water runs off quickly. That's just awful. I'm very glad to hear that you are okay. Here's hoping for no more rain for a while. Be safe, hugs, Edna B.

Oh that looks awful. I am so sorry. The early spring storms have been bad here too, and I've never seen the ground so wet. Very unusual weather. It will have to do a lot of drying out before we can even think of planting a garden. We watch very little news now so I had not heard about the flooding there. Glad you're safe.

I have been watching this on the news quite often. It is such a problem for the cities to have this happen. Our river towns in Iowa get hit in a major way ever few years.
