Woolly Socks And Flip-Flops

We've been spoiled up until this point, with warmer than usual days, many not requiring the wearing of a jacket.
The last few pleasant days of Autumn, with sunshine aplenty.

Last night, the  temperatures fell into the twenties, no more flip-flops, now the winter boots and woolly socks appear.
Mother Nature sprinkled the landscape with snow, just enough to decorate for the season.
The birds have taken to their nests, the turkeys lead their flocks to the nightly roost.
Winter days will soon be here,  but in just 109 short days, Spring will once again return.

Oh sweet Jo, I too have counted the days till spring. LOL The past two days have been really cold here, making me dread all those winter days ahead. It was good to see your pictures. I have never seen as many turkeys as are there at your property, but I have seen two down the road from here. :) Blessings, stay warm ,and enjoy your tea. xoxo, Susie

That's a lot of Turkeys! They are a magnificent Bird! IF you ever get a chance to really look at their colors, they would look like the rainbow. Too bad they simply look brown from a distance.

I know what you mean. No more pj's and sandals going out to feed the donks...

Aha! Now I know where all my turkeys went! They started coming around again for their food, then a couple days ago they did not show up. I love seeing the wildlife in your yard. At least they know they have a place where they can be safe and find food. God Bless you. You have a super day, hugs, Edna B.

We always have such teasing weather in autumn, but I think winter is finally here. With country living, so many interesting creatures visit your yard that never even come close to visiting mine. Especially love your blue jay photo. Wishing you a pleasant week filled with many nice surprises.

Your pictures are simply breathtaking. I loved every picture and every word. We've had the same weather here. Today was very windy and cold. Your picture in the side bar of the Christmas tree in the window in beautiful. That's how Christmas should look. It's perfect! Oh, I love that you're a dress wearer..and even in the garden. I picture you that way...and beautiful.

Beautiful shots of many different things. Your wreath and red bow is spectacular. Oh the turkeys are running loose. Your candle scene is wonderful. I guess we just have to make our peace with cold and wear a lot of extra clothes.
