I'm a candle-burner.
No matter what season of the year, you'll find candles burning in my home.
I'm drawn like a moth to the flame, they comfort me, console me, wrap me in their warm glow.
Nothing says "Welcome Home" better than the soft glow of a burning spiced-candle.
Winter days have set in, we've already had our share of sadness in this new year, I'm hoping for brighter days ahead.

Jo, I love smelling spicy candles too. Today I have apple cinnamon burning. :) Blessings for a warm cozy day there. xoxo, Susie
As are we all, dear Jo. I believe better days are ahead for all of us, eventually.
I love candles too - you described their soothing qualities perfectly. I'm sorry you've experienced sadness - same here - let's hope 2019 is happier, healthier for all -
I'm so sorry to hear you've had sadness. Hope the next few months bring joy. I love candles too! Love the soft light!
Me too.......love candles, day or night.
Hunkering down when the weather dictates it. I really like that platter. It is a special one. I am sorry about the sadness. One is never prepared for the bad things of life. Quality of life is important and taking time to stay in and stay warm is important too.
You do Winter Warming just beautifully!!! xo Diana
I imagine your winters as cold and damp while ours are cold and dry. I don't know which chills the bones more, but warm candle light sends the chill away and helps us survive until the solstice.
I love candles too. A couple of my favorites are Winter Pine, and Cranberry. I love the smell of the cranberry the best I think. Tis very cold here. I can't wait for Spring. Let's hope the rest of this year is going to be good for all of us. You have a great day, hugs, Edna B.
Oh how I do love your headers! This one and the last one. I'm a candle person too and we've been burning one during the night with recent fresh paint on the walls to burn off the smell. Safely tho! Our sadness came last summer... but seems to infiltrate the winter. Winter's never been my favorite.
Mmm yes candles are so therapeutic & uplifting even if they have no smell. My problem is I forget to blow thm out at night!
I hope your sadness was a soft one that gently ebbs and allows your return to happy memories.
Not unlike your beautiful candle that dispels the darkness around it...what a lovely picture.
I lit an aromatic pine candle throughout December and was sorry to see it end with the
holiday season.
We burn several candles nightly, both during dinner and afterwards. Friends used to tell us we were too cheap to turn on the lights😊
