Our days have turned sun-less.
Dark clouds linger overhead, and there is an aura of stillness in the air making for dreary days.
If I didn't know the difference I would think we were in the depths of Autumn.
I've resisted the urge to make a comforting pot of chili and cornbread, however the candle-lighting has already begun.

I hope the hurricane doesn’t come and affect your weather too.
Your posts are so beautiful. I love the Queen Ann's Lace too. Calm before the storm is right! It all sounds so awful and scary now, doesn't it. Hurricane Fran was terrible, and now this one is even stronger. Guess we will know soon. Take care.
Gray and rainy days here in Pennsylvania. Hoping that we don't get the remnants of the hurricane although we have had rain for days and for the foreseeable future.
Here in East Tennessee, the weather has finally cooled down and we're getting some much-needed rain.
It is really dreary and almost autumn-like, I think a pot of chili sounds pretty good.
Don't like too many sunless days, but I am happy to feel the cooling. Glad I don't live near the east coast.
We're having lots of rain, dark clouds, cool weather and our candles and slow cooker have come out too! Hope it warms up soon and we can all enjoy a beautiful Fall. X Chy
Jo, We now have a sunny day , after all those days of rain and gloom. I do not do well with too many gray days in a row. LOL. Your chili and cornbread sounds pretty good to me. Blessings, wishing you sunshine. xoxo, Susie
You do make the loveliest posts. I come here to fill up on beauty and calmness and am never disappointed. Bless you tonight if you are in the storms way.
Love that dish, yes it gets dark earlier, days shorter. Fall is in the air and I have been craving chili too. Still hot days though, too hot for September, leaves are changing
