It's pouring down here today. So much so that we are under a flood watch through much of Saturday.
Not the best kind of weather to be finishing up the last of the shopping, but if you are all done, then it's the perfect day for nesting.
It is Christmas in the mansion,
Yule-log fires and silkin frocks.
It is Christmas in the cottage,
Mother filling little socks.
It is Christmas in the highway,
In the thronging, busy mart.
But the dearest, truest Christmas
Is the Christmas in the heart.

Have a very merry Christmas!! Hope that rain turns to snow so you can have a white Christmas!
It's raining here in Texas too. (I like the green garland on the mantle. We missed our chance to get some this year...) But we do have a fire in the fireplace, so it's cozy! Merry Christmas!
It was cold and very windy today, making it miserable to be out and about, but I went to a movie with a friend anyway. Rain is an old friend for me. Love your pretty pictures. :-)
Great verse and your use of red and green is so wonderful to see. Oliver is resting up for the celebration.
JO, I am praying there's no flooding...the weather forecast looks scary for many this holiday. Wishing you a save holiday. I always love seeing your grounds and gardens. I know your home is lovely from all the photos. Sending warm hugs to you. Blessings for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. xoxo, Susie
Loved all of your pictures here ...
Wishing you a Merry Christmas.
All the best Jan
Another beautiful post. I love seeing pictures of your home. My sister collects nutcrackers and has the twin to your fisherman one. I'm looking forward to our Christmas crackers. What fun! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
