Autumn Days

Mother Nature must have heard our pleas for rain and obliged, courtesy of hurricane Nate.
The trees are slowly beginning their changing of color, yellows, oranges and reds.
Pumpkins are now decorating porches and gardens.
The songbirds busily returning to their winter homes.
The kettle is on the hob, and two sleepy felines are curled up by the hearth.
Autumn the gentle season.....

Your photo captures the season perfectly.

Jo, Your photo is showing just how it looked here too. Especially early mornings. Hope you get just enough rain, not too much. Our lawns around these parts needed the rains we have had. It has stalled the harvesting . Hopefully it won't rain too much for the farmers. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
p.s. the cats on the hearth, so sweet.

Same here! In fact, that photo looks like I could have taken it today....even the fog!

Oh, that is so pretty! We finally got the rain too, thanks to Nate! It is so very hot and humid here now! Not like fall at all.

Our soybeans and corn both are being picked right now. I has to be done between the rains.
