August has begun with cooler temperatures, and breathtaking sunsets.
Schoolchildren return to classes, the days now eerily quiet.
County fairs are in full swing, fun, food and frolic.
Summer days seem noticeably shorter.
The ebb and flow of seasons continue.

I will come back to these photos again and again, especially in winter ...
The pictures are beautiful!! Wish I had a gate like that one to close. I've noticed the days are getting shorter too. I am going out a little sooner now to close the hen house door just before dark.
Those are some very pretty photos! I love the photo of the deer. But honestly, summer seems to have JUST begun here! I hope it lasts well into September and October!
Fabulous pictures! And you have OUR weather right now while we swelter in YOUR weather. It will change back, and it won't be soon enough for me. :-)
Wonderful photo's, should be made in to a book,
Always a treat to visit you.
I am closing the gate as I leave.....
Beautiful time of the year so long as it's not too hot. You have some gorgeous sunsets, don't you.
What a beautiful sunset! I love all of your pictures. I have been noticing the shorter days also. Where it used to be light at 9 p.m. the sun is now setting a little after 8 p.m.
You have some great summer shots here. I like the deep colors of the morning glories.
