Pondering
There are days when I wonder if the entire planet isn't doomed.
Last night I thought the sunset surely looked so....
I'm almost to afraid to turn on the news each day.
I so love your blog and photos and poems. I was wondering-do the turkeys which visit you bother your flowers or vegetable garden? We have a small farm in Kentucky and have just recently had a turkey begin to visit us on almost a daily basis. We have been welcoming... so far.
Hello Anonymous: The turkeys never bother our flowers, we love seeing them appear, since they eat all kinds of bugs. In early spring when the Jakes spar for the 'best on the block' title, things get a little noisy between the males. Otherwise they are most welcome. ~Jo
That sunset is amazing...but a little scary looking too. It almost looks like a fire. The news is very depressing. It is habit that makes us turn on the TV as soon as our feet hit the floor in the morning. We turn it on every morning! I had much rather open the windows and the back door and hear the frogs and birds.
We had scary couds and storms today. We could not hear about their prediction because of the shooting in Virginia. They had to use Facebook to put out the warning to us who lived in that area.

It is a beautiful, wondrous world. Too bad it is humanity that messes it up.

wonderful picture and I stopped watching the news a long time ago because it was always so depressing no matter what they talked about.
Amen. I too sometimes wonder if I should just skip the news and walk out into the day with a fresh eye.

I know what you mean. I dread turning on the telly! That fire in London is tragic, you just wonder what will happen next.
Lovely photo.
I recently finished a course on the Dark Ages and believe me, the time we live in is far preferable! Just to give you some hope !
