Lilies

The Lilies are in bloom.
Their colors are a delight, their scent, heavenly.

The Lily

The modest Rose puts forth a thorn,
The humble sheep a threat'ning horn:
While the Lily white shall in love delight,
Nor a thorn nor a threat stain her beauty bright.

The verse is as lovely as the lilies - How can it be time for them already? :-)

Beautiful! Tiger lilies are my husband's favorite flower. Some are so fragrant that I can't keep them in the house! :-)

So lovely.
Here in New Jersey tiger lilies grow wild along the roads in summer and are so beautiful.
I am a stargazer fan myself.

Jo, I love all the wonderful colors of your lilies. I have never seen the pink or two toned before. All my lilies are yellow or orange...and ready to bloom any time. :):) Blessings, xoxo,Susie

I adore lilies, I put in a bunch in the past few years. This year they have definitely spread.....too early yet to see how the bloom will be, though!

Your seasons are so much ahead of ours, at least the spring and summer part. Lilies are my favorites. I don't have a single lily in the gardens of the new place.
