A Cup of Tea
When the world is all at odds
And the mind is all at sea
Then cease the useless tedium
And brew a cup of tea.
There is magic in its' fragrance,
There is solace in its' taste;
And then laden moments vanish
Somehow into space.
And the world becomes a lovely thing!
There's beauty as you'll see;
All because you briefly stopped
To brew a cup of tea.
When the world is all at odds
And the mind is all at sea
Then cease the useless tedium
And brew a cup of tea.
There is magic in its' fragrance,
There is solace in its' taste;
And then laden moments vanish
Somehow into space.
And the world becomes a lovely thing!
There's beauty as you'll see;
All because you briefly stopped
To brew a cup of tea.

What a wonderful little poem!
Both gorgeous,poem and teapot!
Now when you have a cup of tea in Tennessee do you have it the right way - the British way? Milk and a little sugar... no sign of lemons? Lots of troubles can be diminished over a cup of tea.
This is why I enjoy your blog, it's the simple pleasures. The way you find comfort in a pretty teapot, a lovely flower, a warm Spring day or a cozy fire. You capture these moments, hold them up to the light, and remind us that it's the little things that make each day a treasure.
Amen! Indeed! :) Love~ Andrea xoxo
Ooh yes Mr. Pud.
Milk no lemon here :)

The little poem makes me want to brew a cup of tea. I do so want to be a tea drinker. You folks are so special.
I agree, a cup of hot tea certainly calms the mind.
This is just the most lovely post! The teapot is beautiful, the napkin is beautiful and the poem is just spot on. I love it. Now excuse me while I go get a cuppa.
