Fortune Favors The Brave

This weekend was our granddaughter's university graduation.
A joyous time, and yet it's also sad, leaving friends behind who have been a part of your daily routine, for the better part of the last four years.

Megan Elizabeth has been a blessing in our lives. A sweet, caring, little girl, a joy to be around.
We always knew she was destined for great things.
She loved to play dress up, as do most little girls, I've tried to remind her over the years, that even when she is in a world of grown ups, it's good to take time out for play.

She graduated with a BSN RN with the recognition of Cum Laude,  and we couldn't be more proud.

She'll be beginning her new adventure in the next few months, what a wonderful and exciting time.
We are proud as peacocks.

Congratulations Megan Elizabeth : Class of 2017 you are loved beyond measure.

A grand achievement....I know nurses while they were going to school, and I know it's not easy, and requires a lot of commitment and sacrifice. Congratulations!

As a retired RN, I am happy to assure Megan that there are all manner of jobs for nurses and it's okay to go from one field to another! I was a L&D nurse, an ER nurse, and spent most of the years after our sons were born working in OR (the hours were better!). Nurses are on cruise ships, at ski resorts, in schools (or they should be!), in industrial companies, of course in hospitals and doctors' offices, and all sorts of places in between.

I loved making a difference in my patients lives and in helping their families understand what was happening so they'd worry a bit less. I graduated from Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, Memphis.

Megan, I wish you the joy and job satisfaction I found during my long career!

Cheers!
