I would be telling a fib if I were to say this past year has been a good 'un.
After falling and breaking my ankle early in February, I have spent the entire year, trying to get back on my feet, literally.
I'm hoping 2017 will look upon me more favorably, and because I'm not taking any chances, I have the black-eyed peas cooking in the crock-pot as I type.
I truly wish each and every one of you, a New Year filled with much love, peace, good health and happiness.
Your friendships have encouraged, enlightened, and made me laugh my frock off throughout this past year.
Here's to a 2017 filled with the same !
Many Blessings.
xA Happy New Year! Grant that I
May bring no tear to any eye
When this New Year in time shall end
Let it be said I've played the friend,
Have lived and loved and labored here,
And made of it a happy year.

Laughing your frock off? I say woman, you need to get warm again! Best wishes back to you for the new year. And on your feet once again. :-)
That was a long haul dear friend. Let's hope our New Year is full to the brim with luck and much happiness.
I laughed at that line, too. :) Wishing you a year ahead of good health, Jo. All the best. Cheers!
Warm wishes for a healthy and happy New Year to you!

As I've said before, love your pics! And a poem by Edgar Guest! I have one of his books ("When Day is Done")... and have never seen anyone mention him before. Happy 2017 to you!
To you as well, a great New Year and STRONG ankles!
Yes - be careful ALL WINTER on that walkway and no more accidents please. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!
May you have good health , and strong bones, throughout the year. May you be embraced by love and happiness and the joy of your family. Happy New Year . Kronia polla
I just found you. And I'm so happy I did. Happy New Year
Happy New Year, Jo! Hope this year is full of GOOD happenings. No more falling. Just lots of great adventures in your wonderful state of Tennessee!
Always a pleasure to visit here. I can certainly get into the ankle thing. I'm many years out from an injury that now requires I haul around a big stick. Perhaps Mr. Roosevelt would be pleased but I am not. I hope that the new year is better for you and for all who read here...a very happy new year from the chilly mountains of NC.

Happy New Year Jo! I sure hope 2017 will be a better year too. Hope you are able to get outside and dig in the garden as long as you want. You are such a sweet, beautiful lady.
Thank you and the same to you! Wishing you a happy, healthy new year filled with blessings.

Although I didn't stay up to officially greet the New Year I was nicely surprised at midnight. A neighbor a mile or so away set off fireworks... how lovely, and I managed to be up to say hello to 2017 :)
Hugs xx
