Autumn's Calling

We could benefit from a gentle rainfall, nary a drop in the past three weeks, and the trees are beginning to show signs of stress.
Subtle signs of changing seasons are all around, summer flowers  hang limp on the vine, songbirds now silent or departed.

This is the time of year when I will miss NY and the Autumn colors.
I have a forest behind my home .. it is pine trees. oh well, I won't be seeing snow out there so I won't complain :)

I gave up my forest of trees with their fall colors, where it snowed all winter ... for a forest of pine trees where it does not snow. But I am happy to have the trees, regardless :)

A serene picture showing the changing season. :-)

We have had a rain shower here and there, but not nearly enough. I am hoping for a day of showers to really soak the ground. Even though I am not a fan of a stretch of rainy days, having one where I can just sit at the kitchen table with a cup of tea looking out of the window at the rain sounds just lovely.

It's wicked hot up here in New Hampshire and humid as a wet rag. These are days made for staying inside and reading a good book, which is exactly what I'm going to do!
Hugs and enjoy the weekend...

We've had rain and now humid hot days are here again!
But I see the changes in the leaves so autumn is truly on her way.

JO, We had rain last night and almost all morning here. I am ready for a few days without it. It is looking like fall there and here, the crops are changing into the golden color . Blessings, xoxo, Susie

We have signs of fall also. It is not a happy time when the snow comes. I hope it isn't early.
