Rain Dancing

We need rain....
The kind of non-stop gully-washing rain, to drench the parched grass and flowers, and give a respite to this Summer heat.
Almost unbearable to work outside unless you're used to this kind of hot weather, I confess to sheltering indoors, under the comfort of the air conditioning.
Even the birds choose to dip their toes in the birdbath, and just vegetate.

It has been hot for two days but when the humidity gets so bad that you can not stand it we get the rain. We just had one the past hour that should do us for a while. I don't know how these storms travel but sometimes they do droop down into the south. Do stay cool inside.

We've had loads of rain but it doesn't take that heat and humidity away! :( The air is so thick today, it's hard to breathe outside! Ugh!

We are 96 this afternoon! We have been having storms most afternoons that cool us down but they have been scary, lots of trees coming down!

We're cool, windy and a bit wet over here Jo. I'll gladly share with you. I hope you get some rain soon.

We are getting just a sprinkle of rain this morning. Hardly enough to settle the dust. It is very hot and dry here too. The bird bath looks cool and peaceful.

Hot here, too! Thanks for reminding me that I should give the bird bath some fresh water!
