The Christmas tree ornaments and decorations now packed away in their boxes for another year.
Pine needles and tinsel vacuumed yet again, although it's usually an ongoing chore for several weeks.
It's funny how quickly we get used to all the Christmas excess, festive colors, baubles and bubbles ,and greenery, and once they are removed the house feels so incredibly bare.
We are braced for an Arctic blast of extremely cold temperatures, down in the single digits no less, and as if to let us know that Mother Nature can be a fickle friend, a dusting of snow blanketed the fields this morning.
I wanted to share a sweet little Christmas card we recieved from a loved-one.
It made us smile.
Oliver cat, and Tom Tilly, what could have been more perfect !
Hope you all stay warm and cozy inside, the Nesting Season is upon us.

That is a perfect card! And we are in the midst of sun and warmth after a horrendous week of rain, while you are getting the winter blast. Hope it travels through quickly! :-)
I did the same thing today...major dusting and cleaning where Christmas had been! Nice and fresh! Now soup is bubbling on the stove and bread is rising. Ahh!
That is such a special card. What a great thing for you to receive. We are removing things a few each day. No finishing deadline but since we are locked in today with the bad weather we will do some more. It was a nice arrangement that you had at the top of the page.
Congratulations on a job well done!
The card's a darling, indeed.;-)
Stay warm and safe,
Merisi
That blast of cold air upon us now with wind gusts up to 30 mph. It's terrible!
The card is so cute! Your home always sparkles.
What a darling card! Perfect for Oliver and Tom Kitten! Yes, it is time to bundle up by the fire and wait out this blast of cold that has invaded the south! Keep warm!
