Tales of a British expat, transplanted into the lush Tennessee countryside. Lover of old, time-worn, and antique. Tea-drinker, flower-grower, animal-nurturer.
I do love an orange cat! I've said for years that our next one will be a marmalade, and we'd name her Cornbread.
My Dad used to sell the Oliver equipment, long years ago in the South. He built a BIG show-room on the side of his business, and I remember the big green (a little darker than John Deere Green) tractors standing in there, with the scent of those enormous black-rubber tires permeating the entire shop.
In addition to the commissions, I do remember that there were really nice prizes for each sale---one gift was a matched set-of-four of the pale pearly-tan-ivory Samsonite. We used that set for every trip, and I can still smell the wonderful Coty-Coppertone scent when we opened the train-case.
The living Oliver is stunning. What a beauty. I have a tuxedo cat and a gray tabby cat but there is just something about an orange cat that melts my heart. Probably because Granny always had orange cats when I was growing up. she said they were the best "mousers". :)
Jo, I like the old mower...but I like furry Oliver the best. Hope you are okay, I know you have some nasty weather, pretty much like the rest of us. I am ready for Spring. Take care and enjoy your weekend, xoxo,Susie
My father in law loved Oliver tractors and I do like Oliver your cat. He is so cat with the sleeping with great relaxation. His markings are also so great.

Love Oliver's little pink beans!
Love ya, Oliver, old and new, rusty and snoozing!
Love both Olivers, but the second Oliver is so beautiful. I love those pink paws and nose. Does he like to be held?
