The Robins have returned.
Surely a sign of spring.
The fireside for the cricket,
The wheat-stack for the mouse,
When trembling night-winds whistle
And moan all round the house.
The frosty ways like iron,
The branches plumed with snow,-
Alas! in winter dead and dark,
Where can poor Robin go?
Robin, Robin Redbreast,
O Robin dear!
And a crumb of bread for Robin,
His little heart to cheer.

We have been looking for the Robins to come back. Not any yet here in the yard. The new neighbor cut the big tree limb that for the last 5 years they have had a nest.

I guess I didn't realize they left. In fact about 2 weeks ago I was driving into our neighborhood and on the greenbelt part I saw probably 30-40 robins on the ground and found it very odd. I have never seen so many at once. Too bad it's STILL SNOWING!

A neighboring town has robins but I have not seen them. They eat fruit from trees as we have no insect alive at the temperature of -14 degrees F. I like the window shot with the robin in the broken window.
The Robins have returned here...so many I could not count them in a nearby yard. Your blog is just beautiful...I could spend the day here!
I haven't seen Robins but I've seen a lot of red cardinals where I live.
