Feeding Times

The First Sergeant (hubby), has taken bird feeding to a whole new level.
He bores holes in Cedar logs and fills them with his suet concoctions.
Drawing flocks of songbirds to the Winter garden.

Woodpecker, Cardinal, Nuthatch, Carolina Wren, Chickadee, Blue Jay, Towhee, Mockingbird, Goldfinch and many others return day after day to dine.

It makes for happy little birds

Oliver thinks it's all great fun.

What a clever idea! You attract such beautiful birds. Oliver seems to think so also.

What a super idea, clever hubby of yours. Oliver looks very interested in outside activities :))

That is a good idea, make them work a little. The Bennie has his birds on a feeding schedule or is it the birds have him on a schedule? They get feed 3 times a day.

I love the First Sergeants design and this weekend plan on making a few. Will ask the Crazy Cat Lady, next door if she would like me to prune her Cedar trees.

Oliver almost looks like Garfield as he is staring out at the birds. Garfield wouldn't eat a bird though as he would watch for the pizza truck.

I get the same birds every day too but not such a large variety as you do. I think even my regulars have gone south this year. Don't know why the bothered as the snow is down south too. STill they dont have our temps at least.
