April Showers Bring May Flowers
I sing of brooks, of blossoms, birds, and bowers:
Of April, May, of June, and July flowers.
I sing of Maypoles, Hock-carts, wassails, wakes,
Of bridegrooms, brides and of their bridal cakes.
Jo, I love the photos. Nice little poem too. Hope you are getting to enjoy some nicer weather. it's not so warm today...but this weekend was nice. xoxo,Susie
I've just discovered you and love your blog! We have friends just north of Nashville and really enjoy the area. Looking forward to visiting with you more often!
We are having a late spring here in East Tennessee, and the area for the vegetable garden is still too wet for my husband to begin work there for the season. I am glad I have seen no dogwood blossoms since the Dogwood Arts Festival opens later this week, and it is good to have some blooms during the festival.
Ahhhhhh......I can smell the intoxicating aroma of that blooming Iris. Brings back memories of my childhood in Tennessee. Thank you for sharing the glorious beauty of your paradise.
