What is it about us ladies and our love of dishes.
I confess to loving all varieties, from ironstone to fine china. My everyday dishes are Pfaltzgraff, country white, simple yet elegant.
There's also the Blue Willow dishes, lots of them, since I am forever 'finding' new pieces, it is an ongoing love affair, just as the pattern suggests.
A few years ago I started collecting the Johnson Brothers Friendly Village dinnerware, each plate decorated with various seasons of the year, they are so versatile and well .....'friendly'.
Oh there are others, Red English Castle transferware, Harvestime transferware, Blue English scenery transferware, and yet another set of fine bone china bought for me as a young bride by the First Sergeant.
So many choices, so little time....

I confess - definitely my passion too!
Hi ,
The blue and white china caught my eye. I have a china set given to us for our wedding which I periodically add to. Although it is no longer made their seconds are so good I challenge anyone to spot why. Love the The Royal Albert. Very English.
Great cabinet for display too.
xx
You have some beautiful pieces!
Your table looks so inviting and I confess, I would love to spend an hour rootin' through your china cabinet.
I'm another one. Dishes are a joy! You have chosen great patterns to collect...all favorites of mine.

Beautiful! I've always loved Blue Willow, and have none. Maybe I should fix that. Hmmm.
Oh, yes! I definitely have a "thing" for china, too! Your patterns are really appealing choices, Jo.
Lovely the blue and white, but also the bone china roses and other transferwares. You see collecting all kinds of dishes is also what I like to do.
They are so, so beautiful and elegant. I love your pictures, as always. :-)
They are so lovely
I have a collection of blue willow
thanks for sharing ~
+Absolutely beautiful collection ... I doubt many could out dish you !
They're all so lovely! Blue Willow has always been a favorite of mine too.
Jo, I love all your dishes. I think we still like dishes because of our childhood tea parties. Maybe. I have some blue Heron ware. It's my best china. I rarely use it...since most of my food celebrations are sister luncheons. I have many odd little sets just for those. Yor blue willow is wonderful. xoxo,Susie
Beautiful collections Jo. Me too, I have two dinner/tea sets and lots of odd bits and pieces I can't bear to part with. I always think of you when I go into Debenhams and see the old country roses sets in there.
