Lovely post Jo. I love the bare bones of winter especially in TN! It gives you the opportunity to see what's been hiding under all the green most of the year.
I do love the time of seeing the trees bare. They have their own beauty now.
Not me! I spend a lot of time outdoors, regardless of the weather, and baby, it's cold outside!
It looks a lot like here Jo. But there's always something different to see, even in winter. The witch hazels are out now, and the snowdrops and daffodils starting to push up.
Lovely words, gorgeous photos! Missed you and yours Jo, take care and have a warm, happy day!

Nice pictures Jo. I like seeing winter without snow. It's not winter than I mind so much as the inconvenience of traveling on the roads in snow..Take care Jo and stay safe. xo,Susie
It's good to be able to see what the green leaves hide during the summer.
We have very little snow during the winter, so seeing the bare ground is
simply accomplished.:-)
There is a beauty to winter, but it chills me to the bone and I miss the sunlight and lush green. Once the holidays are over, I am done with it! Wishing I was in So. Florida today!
Reminds me of England.

It is an interesting quote. My gardens are somewhat like that as they all flatten and recede back into the ground waiting for warm weather in the spring.
