And The Rains Came

We have been deluged with rain these past few days.
Cold, wind-driven rain, mixed with snow flurries here and there.
The creeks are overflowing their banks, Winter is in the air....

Rain, rain, rain...that's something those of us on Vancouver Island know all about! I hope you're staying warm and dry by the fire with some of your spiced tea!

it has been many years since I have seen water running like this, a true flood. hope it has slowed down for you now.

We're starting to see some accumulation of snow here on the Plateau, but we're not expecting anything significant. It's a great day for a fire in the fireplace and to stay inside. Jim

We too have had TONS of rain... I think it rained ALL night last night....

BUT--today we got snow... We only got about an inch --but it was pretty (the kind that clings to everything)... I put some pictures on Facebook this afternoon... (Do you do FB?)

Great pictures... The creeks are definitely FULL.
Hugs,
Betsy

My shortcut home involves crossing a creek. I've been driving the little car all week and had to take the long way the other night.

Hope the flooding doesn't become destructive to life and property! Photos are excellent of the rushing water!

This is Thursday and it sounds like your going to get snow now. Be careful out there.

I guess one advantage of Tennessee over England is that the winter days are a great deal shorter. The difference in this regard between the Gulf Coast--near which I lived most of my life--and Oregon--where I now live--is downright depressing.
