Dark at five fifteen now that we have returned to daylight shifting time.
I captured a few more flowers in bloom on this warm November day, the Coreopsis added to the Autumn palette, and is full of tiny black seeds.
Over the arbor, the climbing antique rose has several new blooms, The canes are filled with new buds just waiting to burst open, but sadly after Wednesday's predicted freeze they will have lost their chance.
Ever faithful Petunias still blooming their little hearts out.
And let me introduce you to Albert, my potting shed butler.....
He doubles as my Halloween candy server, with eyes which move left and right, and an entire repertoire of English butler sayings to his credit.
It's quite a surprise when the door to the potting shed is opened, and Albert introduces himself !He doubles as my Halloween candy server, with eyes which move left and right, and an entire repertoire of English butler sayings to his credit.

I believe Albert could cause someone to have a heart attack! Maybe a great security guard as well as great butler.
I'm thinking I would come out of my skin if I opened your potting shed door and saw this guy! EEEKK! Some of my parents' friends had a ventriloquist puppet and it sat in their living room. I would not walk through that room unless my mom or dad was with me. It seemed like the eyes followed you! I Hated that thing!
Oh my...I think I would forget Albert was there and be startled every time I went into the shed! ha.
I loved the light this morning but not the dark so early!
Stacey and Betsy: I DO forget that he is in there, and he scares me to pieces :)
I have him inside the shed to discourage any lurkers, even squirrels....

Vickie: I can understand :)
I have a beautiful stone rabbit, it's lifesize..
My granddaughter could not stand to sit next to the fireplace where it sits because she thought it's eyes followed her.
After she returned home after visiting, I would find the tea towel draped over the rabbit :)

love Albert! Your photos are beautiful...it's always sad when the frost comes when plants are still trying to bloom!
We had a skull face like Albert and it would startle a person, I had it in the carport.
I don't like the time change and it really is going to freeze my tomato in a couple days... winter is upon us.
Albert is scary looking! YIKES!
Your blooming flowers are so beautful. Our blooming season has gone away.
love

I hope Albert is around only during Halloween ...

Wonderful photos. Yes I dont like that it gets dark so early now. Have a wonderful day !
Albert is a hoot. Great photo's
I love your butler! I have a "Charles" butler who stands next to the chair and holds my drink...he says nothing...a bit wooden if you know what I mean!!
Albert what a great name for a butler.
He would scare the me especially those eyes.
Hi Jo, Oh--how I love Albert... I'm sure he is a HUGE help to you in the potting shed....ha
Yes---it gets dark early these days... Can't get used to it!!!!
Love that Coreopsis... Gorgeous Fall colors.
Hugs,
Betsy
We have a few roses trying to blossom as well, but I don't think they are going to make it with the lows predicted over the next few days.
Albert looks like a very proper English butler.
You still have some beautiful flowers to photograph. Our's are gone for the winter soon to come.
I really like the butler. Your flowers are still hanging in there. I have one set of red petunias that look weathered but are still in bloom.
