"October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came-
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band."
The leaves by hundreds came-
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band."

That's really showy! Gorgeous!
What a wonderful poem -- and what a great picture of the beautiful trees.
October is giving us a Party for sure, Jo... We have some pretty colors up here.
BUT---all of the rains today (except for just a trace) missed us totally.... Darn!!!!
Maybe we'll get some tomorrow..
Hugs,
Betsy

That red autumn is really beautiful.

Our leaves are so slow in changing this year and I haven't found a single green acorn. The longer Autumn hangs on, the better. Love it and the poem.
whatt great poem, I like the wind leading band. gorgeous colors
So beautiful, and so fleeting!
Lovely tree! We have Black Gum trees turning their deep red, Oaks and Maples turning fire-red and orange, all against a green backdrop of leaves or evergreens. It's glorious as is the tree in your picture.
Love the happy picture painted by the poem.
Hugs!
Beautiful photo Jo. I love the reds and oranges of fall..we don't get much of that here in Kansas unfortunately. Beautiful poem too as always. I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday.
