How I'll Miss You When You're Gone
Sixty days and counting, still blooming your little hearts out.
Your Glories are very pretty! You may think I am nuts (a given) but I actually had to try to kill mine off, after 3 years of reseeding themselves, they pretty much engulfed my porch, rails, steps, and other plantings. They just got terribly carried away. Was like too much of a good thing.
Hello Jo! Your Morning Glories are wonderful especially growing on that fence! I used to have some growing on our trellis in the city...it didn't take long for them to cover the whole thing and over take my roses etc. I ended up pulling them out but I kept lots of seeds. One day I'll plant them here on the farm but this time I'll make sure they've got a place of their own!
I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to my office/craft room today. It's not finished but I'm taking my time adding treasures that really mean something to me. I'm touched that you felt you knew me a little better after visiting. I hope you have a WONDERFUL weekend Jo...take care. :)
Oh Jo, they did turn out beautiful this year. I planted some seed one year and they come back time and again, even in other spots. Mine seemed to have turned purplish these last years, though I wish they stayed as blue as yours.
We're planning to put up a fence section just for morning glories. Well, that and the laughs we got from putting a bird feeder at one end of the old fence and realizing that - in the bird world - there really is a pecking order!!
that is a long time for them to bloom. our night blooming cactus is still blooming and it never blooms after the middle of sept. it has been blooming for 3 months, which is an all time record. this fence looks like a record number of blooms for a beautiful fence.
What joy flowers bring us. Your morning glories make me smile. I have a co-worker who comes in each day and says "mornin glory" as he passes our office doors. That makes me smile too!

Morning Glory are lovely but they do not really fit with the Autumn colour palette.
They will be back next year, won't they? They are so stunning right now!
You can still see them in your beautiful photo when it is gone !
Have a beautiful weekend, my friend.

Amazing morning glories! the rabbits
ate all my vines except one! The variety was Heavenly Blue morning glory.
This is the first year that my morning glory plants did well, and yes I too will miss them. Yours are so beautiful on that picket fence.
